Just Random stuff

First of all, Claire is with my parents for a little while and Lily is napping! Sweet quiet! My little sister is in and her husband took her hunting this morning. Her kids and my Claire are playing together at MiMi's. So, I get a break that I have needed for a LONG time! :o) Thanks, Mom & Dad!

Well, Lily won't be napping for much longer so I have got to hurry! I took advantage of my "free" time and made some pumpkin bread this morning! I have a fabulous recipe that I've always used but I decided to try Darcy's recipe this time, WOW! I think I may have found a keeper, I haven't tasted it yet but it is SO pretty and the smell is heavenly! I also made a taco soup out of ingredients I just had on hand and I just kind of made my own concoction! We'll see how that turns out and if it's really good I'll post the recipe! :o)

I also made baby wipes this morning and since I had more time, I unrolled the paper towels almost to the floor and folded them back up square by square. Then I cut them in half and then in half again. Then I soaked the paper towels in the solution. It took quite a while to do that way but I think they will be easier to use this way.

And one more thing, it is COLD today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o) Well, maybe not cold to you but cold to us and we are wearing long sleeves AND jackets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Fall, Everyone!

Julie

*Update: The pumpkin bread is AMAZING!!!! I still love my recipe, too and I can't decide which one I like better; I think Darcy's has a little better texture than mine. Anyway, I also added some vanilla (just a little) to it because my husband likes it that way and it gave it a cake type flavor. Anyway, SO GOOD! The taco soup I made I am not sure about; hopefully it will taste better after it's simmered all day! It smells wonderful but I put some cilantro in it and I think it's giving it kind of a bitter taste. Well, enough of my boring rambling! Lily is blowing bubbles and talking to me. She is grabbing my hair and screeching at me and laughing; she's so cute! :o)

Sounds like you're going to have a fun weekend!! You'll have to send me the pumpkin bread recipe.. Although if you have to make it in a breadmaker, count me out, I can never figure those things out!!!

Hugs,
Malisa

I'm glad you liked the pumpkin bread recipe! I'm making note to try a little vanilla in the recipe next time. Good idea! Do you have your pumpkin bread recipe posted at your recipe blog? If not would you want to put it up there so that I can give yours a try?!! :)
