Nana's Peanut Butter Brownies...

1/2 c. peanut butter

1/4 c. shortening or butter

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed

2 eggs, one at a time

1/2 c. flour

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. baking powder

In mixer bowl cream together peanut butter, shortening or butter, brown sugar, vanilla & eggs. Add the flour, salt, baking powder. Pour into a greased 9X9 pan bake in 350 oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool, cut into squares.

*Oh my goodness, these are the best brownies, EVER!! We have some in the oven right now!! Charlie's grandmother, Elizabeth Fogg, "Nana" made these often for Charlie and his siblings when they were young. I am very happy to have this recipe to share with our family.
