Baked Ziti

Baked Ziti

12 oz uncooked ziti pasta
2 lbs. ground beef or turkey
1jar spaghetti sauce (we use Del Monte regular sauce & add a little Spicy Spaghetti Seasoning from Sam's)
2 eggs
1 carton (15 oz) Ricotta or cottage cheese
2 & 1/2 c. (10 oz) Mozarella cheese, divided
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Cook pasta. In skillet, cook meat; drain. Stir in sauce and seasoning. In bowl, combine the eggs, ricotta or cottage cheese, 1 & 1/2 c. mozarella cheese & Parmesan cheese.

Drain pasta. Add to cheese mixture and toss to coat. Spoon 1/3 meat sauce into greased 13 X 9 pan; top with half of the pasta mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining meat sauce.

Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with remaining mozarella cheese. Bake 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.

*Serve with salad & garlic bread or just plain buttered french bread!
