Snacks For Kids!

Okay, these are REALLY EASY, so no excuses!

PB& J Spirals

1 tube (8 oz.) crescent rolls refrigerated
8 tsps. creamy peanut butter
8 tsp. grape jelly
1/4 c. chopped unsalted peanuts
2 tbsp. confectioners' (powdered) sugar

Unroll dough; seperate into triangles. Spread 1 tsp. each of peanut butter and jelly on the wide end of each triangle; sprinkle with peanuts. Roll up each from the wide end and place point side dow 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheet. Curve ends to form a crescent shape.

Bake spirals at 375 for 11-13 minutes or until lightly browned. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Serve warm. 8 servings.


Crunchy & Sweet Mix

2 & 1/2 cups Rice Chex
2 & 1/2 cups honey-nut cheerios
1 pkg. (10 oz.) honey flavored graham crackers(bear shaped is what Claire likes)
2 cups miniature pretzels
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
4 & 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

In a large bowl, combine the first four ingredients. In a small bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour over cereal and toss to coat. Spread into 2 ungreased 15 inch X10X1 baking pans. You can use 13's, it will just be a little thicker.

Bake at 275 for 10 minutes. Stir; bake 10 minutes longer. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 1 & 1/2 quarts.
