Thankful Thursdays

I am thankful today for so many things. For the freedom to worship the one true God, for the freedom to even type that, for the veterans who fought for that freedom and got to come home(my Daddy), for those who were injured severly(Reas, our prayers are with you) and for those who fought and didn't make it. I am so overwhelmingly grateful that there are those who would sacrifice their lives for others freedom.

I am the daughter of a Vietnam Vet so you will probably hear a lot of things like that from me. It's just who I am. I am thankful for my God who gave His son to save my wretched soul. I am thankful for that most of all.

I am thankful for the chance to give birth to two beautiful little girls. To watch them sleep and play and become lifelong friends. To watch my husband be the best Daddy I've ever seen (besides my own).

I am grateful for sisters who care enough to know when I am not okay and everything is not "just right" with me. Who take the time to serve me when they are so busy with their own lives. I really regret a lot of things that I have done and said in my life, most of all the things that involve my family. We are not perfect, but we love each other. That says a lot.

I am thankful for a husband who knows when I've reached the breaking point and takes over for me. Charlie took us grocery shopping last night because I didn't get it finished yesterday. It is a bad time of the month and I had two babies who didn't feel good so we had a woderful time in the grocery store! So, when he got home from work, early, he took us back to town. Such a relief for me because I didn't have to finish it today!

I am thankful for nice cashiers. We had a really sweet cashier and carry out guy at the grocery store last night. Very kind and helpful and they actually brought the bananas out to the car that I had forgotten! You don't find that at our local Wal-Mart! (I had a VERY bad experience there yesterday, may post about it later).

I am thankful for my Mom who watched the girls while I mowed the yard for my husband the other night. It was nice to get out and get some exercise!

I am thankful for my Dad who checks on me if he doesn't hear from me for awhile. I am thankful that he loves to have his whole family there and sometimes he can be smothering but most of the time, I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am thankful for my crockpot. I will use it so much now that the weather if finally getting cooler (although I use it in the summer, too). I am so ready to start cooking soups, stews, and even chocolate cake in my crockpot! I love the convience of just throwing everything in and doing whatever else I have to do until it's time to eat! Amazing!

I am thankful for singings. I love to get together with other Christians and offer up praise to the Lord. Beautiful, nothing like it!

I wrote a blovel. Thanks for reading my ramblings! For more Thankful Thursdays visit Sting My Heart!
