Thank You God (And Mama & Daddy)

We have been struggling financially the past year. The past 6 months have been horrible and we struggle to pay our bills and put food on the table. Forget extras and Christmas was terribly lean. So, we have been relying on Charlie cutting firewood among other things to make extra money. This week, I have approximately $500 in bills to catch up on and a $700 check to give our percent to the Lord, to pay the bills, buy groceries, diapers and all that Wal-Mart stuff and buy Charlie's approximately $75 gas and food bill for work and I have to go to the doctor this week because my feet have been swelling. Not looking too promising. But, we trust that the Lord will provide and boy has he ever! :o)

Today, my Mom comes by and drops off about $150 worth of beef(Edited: I meant to say 150 pounds not dollars; the dollar amount is quite a bit higher! I am so tired, can you tell?). Roasts, ground beef, tenderized steak, Ribeyes, T-Bones, you name it; it's there! A freezer full with another large ice chest full still in storage! :o) They decided to slaughter a cow and divide it among their 3 kids' families. How precious a blessing my parents are to me and Charlie and our girls and not just because they give us things. I could write an entire post on the wonderful and thoughtful things my parents have done for me/us. They are amazing, self-sacrificing, big hearted people whose love for their children knows no bounds. I can only hope to be that kind of parent to my children.

Tonight I just wanted to thank God for my amazing parents and ponder for awhile on just how truly blessed we are.

Have a restful night everyone and God Bless!

I was shocked too. What a great blessing though. We are more blessed I guess you could say. Paul killed three deer this year, but they are going fast with a teen in the house. I thank God everyday here lately for our parents. We couldnt have had better ones....I pray that your struggles will soon be better. I would pray that they will cease but as long as we live here on this earth they wont so....just that they get better.

Love ya
Sis

ps..i hope your feet get better soon.
