~in my opinion, it's the man that makes the clothes, not the other way around...~

"The clothes make the man"???? In my opinion, not hardly! Thoreau has some very interesting things to say about honest work and true manhood. Read on:
"No man ever stood the lower in my estimation for having a patch in his clothes; yet I am sure that there is greater anxiety, commonly, to have fashionable, or at least clean and unpatched clothes, than to have a sound conscience."

"I say, beware of all enterprises that require new clothes, and not rather a new wearer of clothes. If there is not a new man, how can the new clothes be made to fit?"

Above quotes from Walden, by Thoreau.

I found these quotes, although I have read them before, at Transformations, a lovely little blog. It would be worth your time to hop on over and read for a bit. Very encouraging lovely blog!
