Catching up!

I am 29 weeks pregnant! I went to Babycenter.com to see how the baby looks right about now, it is so much bigger than I thought! About 3 lbs. and 15 in. long. We get to see it again on another ultrasound Feb. 27th! Can't wait, I am getting really excited! In the meantime, though I have to plan my daughter's 2nd birthday party, eh, parties! I can't believe Claire will be 2!

I have been trying so hard to get our home in order and keep decent meals on the table. I am hoping to get better at doing this every day so we can save even more money and get some things done to our home before the baby gets here. So, pray for me because organization and endurance are not my strong points!

Thanks so much to my wonerful mother for watching Claire for me today so I could get some things done. My house was a wreck. I have zero energy but I had two of my nieces over last night and they helped a lot with keeping Claire-bear occupied! Thanks Sarah & Rose!

Anyway, I need to go. This post was not long but hopefully I will be inspired to write more soon. This is just my pregnant ramblings!

I have found on the decent meals and saving money that if i plan my menu and stick with it then i spend about 2/3 as much on groceries than my budget allows. Paul gets paid every two weeks and I get $100 dollars a week for food and household supplies. It is tight but I have only been spending about $50 to $60 a week unless I have to buy meat and then it goes up but it is getting better. lol I learned how to make Chicken and Dumplings and Paul loves them the way I make them so that helps and Crock pot enchilada and slow cooked deer steakes with mashed potatoes and brown gravy are a few of our regular meals. (Wic also helps alot) We don't have to buy milk or eggs or juice. And the pinto beans really help to make meals.
anyway, keep up the good work and keep trying. I have found it really is rewarding to see some of my grocery money go for other stuff we need instead of junk food that we dont need anyway......
