A Veggie Tales Super Bowl Extravaganza!

Yesterday was such a good day! First of all, it started off with NO nausea! Yay! We got ready and went to services. The singing was awesome, everyone had picked songs that were very moving! My Dad and my Uncle led some heartfelt prayers that truly touched me. My husband had a lesson that was, I beleive, hands down, the best one I have ever heard! I know that I am partial but seriously, it was so good!

Charlie talked about sin and how it is a fire that must be controlled or the results are devestating to everyone. We have the CD" From the Altar to the Door" by Casting Crowns and the lyrics to the song "Slow Fade" were so appropriate for his lesson. I am going to post them below.

Slow Fade,by: Casting Crowns

Slow Fade:

Be careful little eyes what you see
It’s the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it’s the little feet behind you that are sure to follow

It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away
It’s a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It’s a slow fade, it’s a slow fade

Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray

Isn't that an awesome song? So, after a wonderful church service, we came home and ate my husband's amazing Chicken Stir Fry. He is SUCH a great cook, really! :o) By the way, I haven't posted a menu plan monday because right now it is kinda touch and go. We just eat whatever I think that I will not throw up! And, my husband eats anything, he is really not picky at all and neither are the girls! Claire had 3rds on broccoli yesterday! :o) Then, we put the girls down for a nice long nap and we worked in the garden for awhile getting it burnt off and disked and tilled up. I can't wait to have fresh veggies! Yum-Yum!

After the nap and garden work, I headed over to the cinema with the girls to watch "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything". We went with the ladies from church and all the kids. They had a great time! Claire looked at me during the movie and said, "Thank you, Mama". She is such a precious sweetheart. We had our fill of great popcorn and drinks and then headed over to Mike and Melissa's for the super bowl party where Daddy was. We got there about halftime and I have to say that I was shocked at the outcome! I fully expected the Patriots to carry it away but I was rooting deep down for the Giants. I believe that Eli Manning is underated as a QB. He is awesome! Of course, the Cowboys are still my team but I had to root for somebody! lol.

So, we had a great time at the SuperBowl party and it was so cute to watch Michayla and Claire and Rose play dress up in dance costumes and we took some cute pictures. I will have to get those, Melissa and post them! :o) Micah and Lily smiled and drooled at each other and Lily tried to grab his ear so many times that I lost count! We had such a good time with our church family! Thanks ,Mike and Melissa for always hosting such fun times!

We had a great Super Bowl Sunday, how about you? (Although, the nausea came back with full force last night along with a lovely migraine headache, what fun.)

Love and Prayers, Julie

I'm glad you were able to go without nausea for a while.
