~A more organized alternative to bookmarking!~

I recently stumbled upon a little thing called "Delicious" on someone's blog I was reading. It was a life changing revolution! No kidding! Instead of bookmarking a site of interest on my computer, I can bookmark something, tag it with the appropriate subjects (for example: a Charlotte Mason site would be tagged: homeschooling, CM, resources) and all of my bookmarks are kept on my Delicious page so I can access them with one easy click and they can be sorted according to subjects! Awesome for a busy homeschooling mama like myself! :)

I know it may sound confusing because I am not to good at explaining things so check it out for yourself and see how easy it is! Here's my Delicious page if you would like to see what I am currently perusing through! (Also, on my sidebar is the link to my Delicious page so you can click there at any time and read away to your heart's content!)

Enjoy!

Monday Meanderings...

This is in no particular order, just my order! lol

*updated to add: I totally forgot, while typing this out, to include husband encouragement!! So, here it is:

~Husband Encouragement:

*Make Charlie a peach pie from fresh peaches that we were given; yum!!

*Bible study with Charlie & praying for him

*Mowing the yard & taking care of chickens this week; giving my baby a break! :)

~Verse this week:

Romans 12: 1-2 "So brothers and sisters, since God has shown us great mercy, I beg you to offer your lives as a living sacrifice to Him. Your offering must be only for God and pleasing to Him, which is the spiritual way for you to worship." 2 Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect."

Is God in my home?

Reading this today. Reading & dwelling there. Reflecting and studying myself and my actions and motives. I love Sally Clarkson. She writes some very inspired things and always I dig deeper to find more of myself to give to my family after I read one of her posts or a page from one of her books. She is just that inspiring. And this post, right here, well, God gave her a good word. That's for sure. Read this and be changed. Like I am today.

My prayers are with all wives and mothers tonight.

Love,
Julie

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home. ~Edith Sitwell

reflections for wives....

"Wives, in light of the Lord's instruction to us, we have to ask ourselves the hard questions on a regular basis: Do I care for my home in a way that helps my husband or serves me? Do I manage my time in a manner that assists my husband or serves my own agenda? Does the way I serve others support my husband or promote me? Do I ask for my husband's input before committing myself to a plan? Am I oriented to him and the work to which God has called him? We honor the Lord when we minister to our husbands in ways that enhance our God-given roles as companions and helpers.

I am going to make these this week! I can't wait and they look very easy to do! I will try to post a picture when I am through! Maybe that will keep me accountable and I will actually get it done! =) Go on over and try this yourself; she gives you a very simple tutorial! Have Fun! =)
