We are here!!! We are at my sister's house & I am enjoying watching all of the kids play together. Really looking forward to a fun weekend and a relaxing one!! For some reason, it was just nice to get away for awhile and refocus. I spent the drive up listening to screaming kids(long story) but I spent last night lying awake & thinking and praying. God really spoke to me last night in the quiet in a different place. I am just processing a lot of things this morning and I don't have much time to share. When I get a chance, I will write more. One of the things HE really pressed on my heart is that I spend too much time wasting time! Make sense? lol
Love to all and thanks for your many precious prayers! I'll share some pictures soon!

Be still....
I've written on this before, here. I just wanted to say thank you for the sweet comment from the Abrams Family. I know God is teaching us something through all of this. I had just taken my focus off of that for awhile and decided to focus on self pity, instead! Thanks so much for the gentle guidance back to the cross. My focus should be on what HE can do and what HE is doing through us. I shouldn't even worry or even try to justify worrying about our tomorrow.
So, today, I am much better. We still haven't left to go to my sister's. Charlie worked here yesterday!! Yay!! and I am packing to leave in an hour or so as he worked here for a few hours this morning.
We are heading out to visit the family. Hope you and yours have a wonderful fun weekend with your children, whether you do fall festivals/carnivals (our personal way of celebrating) or whether you go trick or treating.....have a safe and wonderful weekend!!
Love,
Julie

Thinking of....
Shutting this blog down. I would still email pictures and updates to family and friends and blogger friends but I really don't have the time to maintain it anymore. Also, I feel like I have to be positive all of the time(I put this expectation on myself, no one makes me feel that way) and I just can't do that. My life is not perfect. It's great, it's amazing, it's blessed but it's not PERFECT.
I just really need to have some time to ponder things so I probably won't be posting for awhile, at least. I have SO many things that I need to pray about and work on. I am feeling a little overwhelmed right now, in good ways and in stressed out ways but just overwhelmed! I need to take a break for a while and refocus.
Also, I think not posting on here and sending the updates to people instead would force me to have more contact, to reach out to the people that I need to reach out too. If that makes any sense? I think that sometimes I hide behind my blog because it is easier. There are many reasons that I do this and they have a lot to do with depression and anxiety but the reasons should not become excuses for going into hiding. I need to face things and deal with life. I have watched many family members and people that I know, hide behind their depression and I do not want to be that kind of person. I want to face my junk head on! That's what God wants from me.
So, I am on a break. I don't know for how long. Maybe from now on. Just until the Lord tells me different. Until I see some clarity in the things I need to deal with. If you want to, you may email me at mama2clairelilydrew@gmail.com
Hope to talk to you, person to person (through email or phone, that is!), soon!!!

Julie

If the shoe fits....
ouch!!... this one stings a little bit for me, how about you? Have you truly prayed as you promised lately? If you have, has it been just a quick hasty prayer? Today, I vow to pray even harder for those whom I have promised to pray!!!Just a gentle reminder....

Julie

God is with you...
Last night we went to bible study and I had a pretty neat experience that I had to share with you. I read yesterday in my daily bible reading about Enoch and being taken up. Last night the devotional was about this same man and his life. I love it when God does little things like that! I love it when He shows me through such small things that He is there and He is listening! Wow. Some people don't often stop and look for God in the small things but I have found lately more and more that it is a MUST for me! I have to do this to stay strong in my faith. God walks with us and it's time that we not only knew it but acknowledged it as well. He walks with us and He carries us! How wonderful is that?!
Just a little something that I felt like I needed to share with you today. When was the last time that you looked for God in every moment of your life? I had stopped doing that this past week but no more. :)
Have a Blessed Thursday!
Love,
Julie

If we don't find Him in the small things, how will we ever find Him in the big ones? ~Elisabeth Elliot
