I am sad today. My sweet, wonderful, amazing husband just left to go to work. Usually, he leaves at 4 a.m. but he has hurt from his kidney stones all weekend long and hurt very badly last night. So, it was late to work this morning. The thing is, he works about an hour and a half from where we live and there is no cell phone signal up there in the mountains. So, I can't tell whether he is hurting or what is going on with him. I have to stay here and wait and see. :( Also, he took 2 pain pills and is driving and working with those in his system. NOT GOOD. So, I would ask that you pray for us today. Especially for my sweet husband.
Now, on to happier things: My wonderful husband took the kids to get doughnuts for us on Saturday morning while I slept/puttered around the house. Doughnuts are a good 20 minutes away and he also went to the hardware store and surprised me with hanging baskets for our front porch!!! So, quite a bit of time to myself, I didn't have to fix breakfast and beautiful flowers for Mother's Day....it was so nice!!! Then, on Sunday, we went to church (where we spent time with my Mom) and he fixed dinner for the kids & I (all while he was in pain) and cleaned it up, as well. Actually, I had to help cook a little bit but I didn't mind! Then, we just had a quiet day together and went to see Charlie's Mom last night. It was just a great day!!
I hope to post pictures soon. I have so many to post so will probably spend about a week posting pictures! lol
I have to find my battery charger for my camera, first! :)
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Prayers, please!!!
The forecast for tomorrow is a high of 75!!!! I am so looking forward to it. Although, not looking forward to my hubby working tomorrow and doing Lily's birthday party by myself! Oh well, we need the money. I also want to request prayers for my hubby. He is in terrible pain with his kidney stones and trying to work. He is working longer hours this week and getting less sleep and he just really needs prayers right now! I know that y'all will pray for him and our family!!!
Happy Mother's Day weekend!!

worthy to remember in these troubled times....
2 Chron 7:14 If my people , which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Please pray for me....
"Forget the former things; do not dwell in the past." Isaiah 43:18
Please pray for me right now!!! I am having some major struggles and I desperately need healing from the past...God has redeemed me but Satan is trying to snare me in and make me feel unworthy and angry. I truly do need your prayers and thank you so much for taking the time to pray for me!!!
Prayers, please!!!
I don't know all of the details so I will just send you over to my friend, Denise's blog for the rest of the story.... and please pray!!!!

John 15 and a prayer request...
I had meant to start on John 15 this week and I am still reading it and planning on posting my thoughts. However, my Uncle died on Tuesday so that's kind of delayed the posting of it until after the funeral which is today at 2. Please pray for the family.
I will try to post the first part of John 15 on Friday or Saturday. I would really love to know your thoughts, as well.
Be back soon!

at my sister's house...
We are here!!! We are at my sister's house & I am enjoying watching all of the kids play together. Really looking forward to a fun weekend and a relaxing one!! For some reason, it was just nice to get away for awhile and refocus. I spent the drive up listening to screaming kids(long story) but I spent last night lying awake & thinking and praying. God really spoke to me last night in the quiet in a different place. I am just processing a lot of things this morning and I don't have much time to share. When I get a chance, I will write more. One of the things HE really pressed on my heart is that I spend too much time wasting time! Make sense? lol
Love to all and thanks for your many precious prayers! I'll share some pictures soon!

prayers & excitement..
Well, Charlie has been off work for a total of about 3 weeks this month with NO pay and no hope of it anytime soon....(unemployment is currently going through an overhaul(tier2) and has denied all of the claims of everyone on his job, so it may take MONTHS to get our money....lovely....
SO, we would really appreciate your prayers....I mean, REALLY...
but,
we MAY get to go to stay with my sister and her family the rest of this week so Charlie can do some WORK!!!!!! Yay!!! I get to see my sister and he gets to work; what more can I ask for???? :)
Seriously, please pray that we make some money QUICK because we have an electric bill to pay this week and it.must.be.paid. or they will shut it off. This is not fun, being broke and normally, I don't talk about money but we really need your prayers.
Please pray that Charlie finds some steady work in the midst of all of this rain and that opportunities will come our way so that our situation will improve. All of the going out and looking for work(and he has been) in the world will not help if there is not opportunities there and that is what I am asking you to pray for!!
For right now, we thank GOD every day for such wonderful family!!!
Off to hopefully have a wonderful rest of the week with family....
Love,
Julie

update & a clean heart...
Well, as of this evening, all of the kids are better except Claire. Drew was the one who was the sickest but thank God, he is much better!! I am praying that Claire's will clear up, as well!! She has been sick so many times this year. Please just pray that she gets well, soon!!
Right now, I feel like I am drowning in clutter!! Homeschooling has gotten everything way off schedule but that's okay. I am just a little down right now because my house is such a cluttered mess and we are about to start some more remodeling. We have been in a constant state of remodeling since we moved in and probably will be from now on! It's just a fact with the house we live in and my husband's need to constantly redo something!! lol :)
So, this week, I am going to start this challenge!! This woman inspires me!! I really don't think we will ever have 9 children but other than that, I can relate to her on a lot of levels....and definitely with the cluttered house and spirit! (amazing fact: if you EVER think your house is too small, think about this, they live in a 900 sq. ft. house with 9 children!!!!) wow.
So, all of that rambling to say, if you are willing to join me, please do so!! I am going to start it today but you can jump in whenever! Just let me know if you are doing it so I can be sure to encourage you along the way...not nag, encourage! :)
Well, I have to go and get some more stuff done. I am starting in the kitchen because I am following flylady as well and that's where she was yesterday. (I am always behind somehow)

Girls test results....
Are normal (Praise God!!!) however, I spoke to them just a few minutes ago and they want them to come back in 2 months for another one because although they do not have diabetes, they are dangerously close to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). So, they will test again in a couple of months.
So, I plan on adjusting their diets (even more) around here, as well as ours. Thank you so much for all of your prayers!!! They worked!!!
We love you!

praying for these special families....
*edited: wrong link! It's early in the morning, sorry! The link for Kelly should work now! :)
Please pray for my friend, Rebecca. She is having some serious problems early in her pregnancy & is on bedrest. Please pray for the baby's health & for courage and strength for Rebecca and her family. I have been in this place and it is not an easy place to be. Please lift her up in your prayers!
Also, a blogger I read, Kelly's Korner, just had her little girl, Harper, last night. Harper is VERY sick. She has pneumonia because her lungs are filled with fluid. They are starting her on a heart/lung bypass machine today. This is VERY serious. Life threatening. Kelly & her husband prayed for this baby for years. Please pray for the family.
Have a wonderful weekend & remember to stay in prayer to the God of Miracles!!!
Love,
Julie

A few things I want to share with ya'll!!!!
*Hubby found extra work to take up some slack with our finances!! :) Thanks SO much to the good person who is offering the job!!
*The Love Dare is AMAZING!!! Wow. It's just really kicking my tail all over the place!! (more on this later) ;)

2. home improvement projects
3. new computer (hopefully!!)
4. and these
Because just as soon as I get these babies, I get to start RUNNING again!!!! I am SO excited and I just can't wait!! Running does SO much for my state of mind and I am looking forward to the alone time, time to pray and think and hear God. That's what running does for me! :)
*starting on my annual first of the year DEEP cleaning just as soon as I get through cleaning up after this sickness, YUCK.
A few things on my list to do:
*take down light fixtures and wash thoroughly
*Wash walls (yes, I do this)
*Clean out and scrub refrigerator and freezer
*organize pantry, girls closets and bookshelves
*organize bathroom cabinets (Again, ugh.)
*Get Drew's room, FINISHED......
and,
START SEWING!!!!!! (I want to find a simple book of easy projects that I can teach myself and therefore, teach the girls later) I know a little bit about sewing but I want to practice, practice, practice and just get SO much better!!

updates!!!
Jase (my nephew) does not have RSV!!! Thank you for your prayers!! :)
And, on the bible through a year note, I know that it is January 7th but I am only on day 2!!! Sorry, life has just happened and I believe that God knows that better than anyone! :) So, here's where I am picking up today:
Day 2
the line of Seth: Genesis 4:25; 5:3-5; 4:17-18, 26; 5:6-20
the line of Cain: Genesis 4:19-24
from Enoch to Noah: Genesis 5:21-30; 6:1-8; 5:32; 6:9-10; 1 Chronicles 1:1-4
Noah's flood: Genesis 6:11-22; 5:31; 5:27; 7:1-8:12
Thanks to those of you who are trying to read along with me! The accountability helps and evidently I am needing that as a push to pick up and read!
So, please read with me and continue to let me know how you are doing. If you emailed me in the past couple of days, I will try to get back to you sometime in the next couple of days. Today is going to be super busy and very stressful. Please pray for me. Maybe I can share details at a later date. We will see. Lots of things happening and right now I am just trying to sit still and wait on God.
Love to all,
Julie

My sister asks that you pray for her 22 month old son, Jason(Lily's buddy). He may have RSV. She is also in the middle of her stepson's wedding which is Saturday. As you can imagine, the stress is horrible. Please pray for her & for Jason. Thank you. I will update when I can.

update on kiddos...
Claire & Lily still runny noses & all around yuck. Good thing is that the slight fever has disappeared, Yay!!
Drew is still clogged up with snot. Suctioning it out and shooting saline drops down his nose every time he eats. He is eating great, though and sleeping a lot better, so I think he is going to be fine. Still going to the dr., though, just to make sure.
*Will keep you updated, thanks for praying!
Love,
Julie
