SO exciting!!....
I am so proud of my sisters. Tammy is doing so well in beauty school and it's just nice to see her so happy. It's amazing how smart she is and how good she is at what she does. I will have to take pictures of my hair and show it off. I am so looking forward to being together and laughing and just being sisters. :) Crystal, my other sister, blows me away with the wonderful job she is doing as a wife and homeschooling mom. She is amazing and such an inspiration to me. I can't wait until I get to go up and spend some time with her and the fam! :) LOVE YOU,BOTH!!!!!
My husband is just blowing me away this week. Last night he brought home a rose bush for me(I would rather plant them outside and enjoy them all spring and summer than to watch them die within days) and a new muffin tin (I needed this SO bad) and some heart shaped Reese's cups (my fave) and a little bear that says "Hug me". :) Today, he told me about this!!! And, tomorrow we are eating a wonderful supper cooked by him and watching a movie after the kids are in bed, YAY!!!
What am I doing for him, you ask? Well, he got a new nail gun (he's been wanting forever) and I wrote him a long romantic letter and he has been going to the chiropractor and getting adjustments. Also, a few other things that I am not talking about!!! :) lol.
Anyway, I LOVE him so much and he is just so amazing as a husband and a father. He is becoming such a wonderful man after God's heart and I am SO SO SO proud of my baby!!
Hope ya'll have a wonderful Valentine's Day & weekend!!!
Love,
Julie

living out the Word of God..
22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
I've been praying a lot lately about the job I am doing as a wife and mother. I am seeing some things that I need to correct in my attitude and my actions towards my husband & children. I am really trying to soak these scriptures in and make them become part of me. I want my husband to "safely trust" me and my children to "rise up and call me blessed". I want my family to know and to feel just how much I love them. I want to be unselfish and to always put them first. I want my husband to be happy and secure in my love and our babies to be secure in the fact that they and their Daddy are Mama's #1 priorities.
I want everything this holiday season to reflect what unselfishness is. The true reason for the season. And I can't do that if my attitude stinks! So, I am reading and saying and writing this verse down every day and I am praying this verse. I am talking to the Lord about how I need these words, this truth, to change me.
So, this is my verse this week. I am posting it on my sidebar and next week I will have a new one. Let me know what verses are speaking to you where you are in your life right now. What is the Word of God saying to you? Please share, I would love to pray for you. :)

Why we LOVE our church family
* we have TONS of activities with our youth
* the entire church family (youth, too) is going to watch Fireproof this weekend& we will work on "The Love Dare" at Bible Study.
*we are serious about loving others.
*our Sunday dress code is "come as you are". we often wear jeans.
*my husband and other men give lessons (we don't call them sermons) every week. This gives them something to discuss with each other and to learn from.
*we eat dinner together at least twice a month. we are always trying to find ways to do more things together.
*at my husband's job, our church is referred to as, "that church Charlie goes to, they are good people. they don't look down on you."
*I don't know about you, but to me, that means we are doing something right. =)
*our kids love each other. their friends from church are very important to them.
*we do SO many things as a group. we are trying to live life together. To BE the church.
anyway, I just wanted to say all of this. I have been meaning to for awhile. Sometimes I feel like I focus on the problems in life to much and I don't proclaim all of the good things, all of my blessings. Our church family has been a MAJOR blessing in our life. And continues to be.
Please be in prayer for my Uncle Edwin Crowell. He is very ill and doesn't have a good prognosis. we love him so much.
*There are just SO many things I could say about our church family, but here's the one best thing to me:
WE LOVE IT!!!!!

My negative nature
I struggle with this and believe that I have finally found quite a bit of freedom in this area. However, for most of my life, I have struggled with being negative. I truly believe that it came out of habit and the influence of some people in my life.
Do you know anyone who you really dread being around? Because of the attitude and the atmosphere they create with their negative and critical spirit? I do, it is someone very close to me, and it is very hard to overcome the negative atmosphere this person creates in my life. So much that I have often times seen myself becoming just like this person. And I that makes me really sad.=(
I think, that when we are so automatically negative, it is a result of our lack of FAITH. This person I know rarely if ever truly places their life in God's hands. They may say they do and even advise you to do so with your life but by their actions, attitude and negative spirit, you can tell that they haven't taken that step themselves.
So, the past few days I have really struggled to do away with a negative mindset and focus on positive thoughts. I have tried to be encouraging and loving and considerate. I have worked hard at being there for my husband and my children instead of dwelling in my own pit. And today, I feel like I have experienced a breakthrough at last!!! My sister gave me some insight in an email this morning and that combined with the words I read in Scripture at 4 am helped me to see this:
"Do all things without complaining and disputing" Philippians 2:14
If we complain, it shows that we don't have faith in God. It shows and proves that we don't believe that God is capable of handling our problems. That we don't believe that He is in charge. It also shows that we don't pray oftentimes because we don't trust God to answer or to answer like we want. It shows that we are not praying oftentimes for this very reason. This is so very difficult to admit in my own life and I do not want to be this way or fall back into this way of living any longer! Lord, help me to be different! Help me to be positive! Help me to trust in YOU!!!!!
This is just something I had to journal about today. Hope it helped someone. Just getting it down has helped me so much already. Thanks for reading and I would appreciate your prayers.
Love,
Julie
